How much contamination does Dycem actually capture?
Independent testing puts capture at up to 99.9% of foot- and wheel-borne contamination, measured against an uncovered floor over the same traffic volume.
How do I clean it, and how often?
Mop with warm water and a neutral detergent. No solvents, no steam, no abrasive pads.
Frequency follows traffic rather than the calendar: clean it when the surface stops feeling tacky underfoot, which is daily in a busy entrance and weekly in a low-traffic cleanroom.
Which product should I specify?

Will it lift or curl at the edges?
Not when it is laid on a clean, dry, level floor. Every mat can be supplied with an aluminium frame where the edge takes wheeled traffic — see the technical specification for the frame options.
How long does a mat last?
Five years in typical use, and considerably longer in low-traffic areas. Replace it when the surface no longer recovers its tack after a clean.

How does Dycem work?
Dycem has a naturally tacky and a high surface energy finish that attracts and holds dust and debris. As people and carts cross the surface, particles are transferred and retained, helping reduce both floor and airborne contamination. With regular cleaning, mats remain tacky and effective for 12–18 months, delivering reliable protection without replacement frequency.
No adhesives or installation are required. Mats can be repositioned as layouts evolve.
