How do Access Panels Work?
Dycem Access Panels feature a naturally tacky polymer surface that attracts, captures, and retains dust and particulates at the floor level. As personnel and wheeled equipment move across the surface, contaminants are transferred and held, reducing redistribution into airflow and sensitive equipment zones.
The Dycem surface is pre-applied to custom access panels and installed as a direct replacement for standard raised floor tiles. With routine wet cleaning, Access Panels remain effective for a typical lifespan of 3 to 5 years, providing continuous protection without replacement cycles or workflow disruption.
Dycem Access IT Panels are designed specifically for raised-floor data centers and can replace standard 2 ft × 2 ft access-floor tiles at targeted contamination control points.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Method 1: Pre-Saturated Wipes

For optimum performance, clean Dycem Access Panels daily.

Clean using a pre-saturated wipe (isopropyl alcohol wipe - 70/30 IPA recommended).

Apply pressure and wipe over the surface until dirt is removed. Allow to dry.
Method 2: Spray & Flat Mop

Apply Dycem-approved cleaning agent to the flat mop or use a spray bottle to cover the surface.

Using a flat mop, clean the surface, working away from the controlled area.

Use a dry flat mop, wipe, or squeegee to pick up the excess liquid if necessary.
